What did you find, and what remains uncertain?
Ask which areas were examined and what the findings show. Request photographs where they help explain a concern. If replacement is recommended, ask what makes a repair less suitable. If a repair is recommended, ask what it addresses and what remains outside the scope.
A useful answer acknowledges what cannot yet be seen. Ask whether removal, another inspection or a separate specialist would be needed to resolve an uncertainty. That is more informative than a confident conclusion without supporting detail.
What exactly am I buying?
Ask for the material names, roof sections and supporting components included in the work. Clarify removal, disposal, flashing and treatment of junctions. If there are options, ask which differences are required for the project and which are choices you can make.
Discuss the products in the context of your home. A long list of features does not explain whether a particular material fits your roof. Ask why the proposed assembly is suitable and what additional evaluation may be needed before changing systems.
How will the project be managed?
Ask who will be your contact and how you will receive updates. Confirm the proposed work window, access plan and responsibility for approvals or inspections that apply. If other trades are involved, clarify who coordinates them and what is excluded from the roofing agreement.
Discuss concealed conditions before work starts. How will they be documented? How is extra work priced? Who must approve it? A clear process gives you a way to make decisions without relying on a rushed conversation during installation.
What will I receive when the work is complete?
Ask what the final review includes and how remaining items will be recorded. Request the actual warranty terms, product information and other agreed documents. Clarify who to contact later and which maintenance instructions apply to the installed materials.
You can also ask for the business and insurance details relevant to your hiring decision and verify them independently. Contact PrimeNest Roofing to request an assessment with your address, roof concern and preferred topics. Bring these questions to the conversation and ask for the final scope in writing.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS
A few things you may be wondering.
What if I do not understand a roofing term?
Ask what that component does and where it appears on your roof. A photograph, drawing or product sheet may help. You should be able to connect the terms in a proposal to the work you are authorizing.
How many questions are too many?
Focus on the details that affect your decision: findings, scope, exclusions, price changes, timing and documentation. If an answer changes what you expect from the project, ask for it to be included in the written agreement.
